The Maintenance Expertise Needed For Ford Vehicles

Start Fragment

At Specialized Truck and Auto Service, we are passionate about what we do and because of our Ford Master Technician training, we specialize in Ford products. Most Ford vehicles will require the spark plugs to be replaced at the 100,000 mile interval.

Lately, we have been seeing a lot of 2004 to 2008 Ford vehicles that have the 3 valve engines. These particular engines come in 2 different sizes in the Ford Expedition/Navigator, Explorer/Mountaineer or the F-Series Trucks (a 4.6 liter or a 5.4 liter motor). A 4.6 liter 3 valve motor can also be found in the Mustang GT.

There is a special procedure that must be followed when removing the spark plugs in these motors. Even when the procedure is followed to a “T”, usually at least one of the spark plugs will break. At Specialized Truck and Auto Service, we have the specific training, tools and the confidence needed to get the job done the first time, in a timely manner.

Remember, we are specialists on these 4.6L and 5.4L engines and enjoy working on them. We are experienced and know what can and will happen. It is not a surprise to us when a spark plug breaks. We just handle it and make sure you get your vehicle back using the factory recommended Motorcraft spark plugs.

If you are approaching the 100,000 mile service interval or your check engine light is on, bring your vehicle to Specialized Truck and Auto Service to receive your free estimate to replace your Ford 3 valve spark plugs!
